Requirements for New Delta Sigma Pi Chapters

The university or college must have a separate school, college, division, or department of business administration or economics with at least 400 full-time undergraduates enrolled, and must be accredited either by the Association of American Universities or by a regional accrediting association. The Board of Directors may accept a lower-enrollment school or approve regional accreditation on a case-by-case basis. University and qualified program administration must grant written approval for a Delta Sigma Pi chapter. Additional written approval for new student organizations should be obtained as required by the college or university. The institution should be located within 250 miles of an operating Delta Sigma Pi collegiate or alumni chapter or a member of the Board of Directors. More distant institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis upon recommendations of the respective Regional Vice President or member of the Central Office staff. The decision to accept a more distant school for colonization is the responsibility of the Board of Directors.
